Outreach

Monthly meal deliveries involve teams packing and distributing groceries to households across the neighborhood. Volunteers help sort items, load vehicles, and assist with deliveries, often working in pairs to ensure safety and efficiency. This program reflects Advent’s longstanding commitment to feeding the hungry and building relationships with those experiencing food insecurity.

Quarterly clean-up days focus on maintaining public green spaces through litter pickup, trail maintenance, and light landscaping. These efforts improve neighborhood aesthetics and safety while encouraging stewardship of shared resources. Participants receive basic tools and safety guidance before heading out in small groups.

Outreach events are open to individuals and groups alike. Prior experience is not required—training and supervision are provided on-site. These gatherings often include a brief time of reflection to center the work in faith and compassion, reinforcing the church’s mission to love and serve the community as Christ commands.
