Moderator directory
Find your verified, ward-based moderator by railway line or administrative zone for rapid local support.
Each Mumbai ward has 2–4 trained volunteer moderators, listed only by their ward and railway line—like ‘Ward C, Central Line’—not their name. This protects them from harassment while ensuring accountability. Search by entering your nearest station or suburb; the directory shows the right moderator group. You can message them directly through the app’s secure inbox. They respond faster in areas with higher listings volume, like Dadar or Thane, but all wards are covered.
Moderators are residents themselves, often long-term, with knowledge of local nuances—like which chawls in Byculla have reliable water or which industrial zones in Ghatkopar have active labor groups. They know common scam patterns in their area. Their role is advisory and interventionist—helping resolve disputes, guiding safety checks, and escalating serious cases to partner NGOs or police.
To become a moderator, apply through the app with proof of residence and a reference from your society or ward committee. Training covers legal basics, de-escalation, Mumbai’s municipal reporting paths, and digital safety. Volunteers serve rotating terms with periodic refreshers. Their work is unpaid, and their only leverage is community trust—no institutional power, only influence.
