Packaging Sign-Off
Produce standardized memos capturing loan batch integrity for investor review and settlement.
A packaging memo is your deal’s executive summary: it validates loan pool composition, pricing assumptions, and compliance status. Include borrower demographics, weighted average coupon, average FICO, and LTV band. Note any exceptions or overrides with rationale—investors scrutinize deviation logs. Embed checksums or hashes linking memos to source loan files so due diligence teams can trace batches to source data without ambiguity.
Settlement readiness hinges on memo completeness. Investors and trustees expect standardized fields: loan count, principal balance, interest rate band, and servicing retention. Omitting service release fees or incorrect servicer ID can pause funding. Templates should reflect current GSE or private label formatting requirements—not your internal CRM structure. A clean memo accelerates review and reduces legal and operations review time.
