Dawn-Kneaded Bread, Delivered to Your Doorstep

Where sourdough rises in silence, pastries cool on wire racks, and your neighborhood bakery moves at human speed—no apps, no rush, just care.

Today’s Bake

Each morning, before light hits the oak shelves, we begin: whole-grain levain, laminated butter layers, fruit-studded loaves shaped by hand. This menu updates daily—no inventory, no wasteful overbake—just what the oven and season suggest.

Cake for the Moments That Matter

Custom cakes are made by request only—no digital templates, no assembly lines. Bring your idea, a sketch, a memory, or just the feeling you want the cake to carry. We’ll shape it in the back room, where flour dusts the floor like snow.

Rustic

Hand-scraped buttercream, wild berry compote, no fondant—just honesty and structure

Modern

Clean tiers, edible botanicals, subtle textures, quiet elegance

Seasonal

Root vegetables in winter, stone fruit in summer—taste the calendar

Children's

Flourless options, joyful shapes, no sugar overload—just sweetness in balance

The Shop at Corner & Oak

Our counter faces the street so neighbors can wave in. Inside, sunlight slants across reclaimed wood, and the oven glows softly even at noon. Pull up a stool—coffee’s poured slow, conversation lingers. The door unlocks at 6 a.m. and closes when the last loaf sells.

  • SeatingBar stools, a window bench, and two small tables by the hearth
  • AccessibilityStep-free entrance, low counters, quiet hours on Tuesdays 7–9 a.m.
  • ParkingStreet parking along Ash and Elm, free after 6 p.m.

Our Hands & Hours

We start at 4:45 a.m.—no alarms, just instinct. You’ll find us in aprons stained with flour and coffee rings, folding dough, scoring crusts, watching steam rise. This isn’t just craft; it’s rhythm, reverence, and repetition that becomes ritual.

01

Pre-heat

Ovens fired at 4:30 a.m.—timed by sight, not sensors

02

Folding

Dough rested, stretched, and folded three times over three hours

03

Scoring

Each loaf marked with care—a silent signature, a promise of shape

04

Cooling

Loaves rest on wire racks for 90 minutes—no cutting before then

Community Board

A living board where neighbors post pickup times for bulk orders, share sourdough starter jars, or invite others to join the dawn bake. No algorithms, no notifications—just chalk on a real board, wiped clean weekly and rewritten fresh.

Upcoming

Sourdough 101 workshop—third Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon

Pickup Coordination

Weekly group orders for Oak Street residents—meet at 5:45 a.m.

Starter Exchange
