Hand-Knotted Shawl
Cashmere-wool blend shawl in oatmeal, hand-knotted in the Himalayas by a women’s cooperative using traditional twine techniques.

The yarn blend is 70% cashmere from Inner Mongolia and 30% Merino wool, carded and spun within the region to minimize transport. The tight hand-knotting traps warmth without bulk.
Each shawl is worked row by row, with tension adjusted by feel—not machines—so the drape is fluid and the weight evenly distributed. The fringes are left raw for contrast.
Measuring 70x180 cm, it drapes over shoulders like a second skin, offering comfort in airplane cabins or cool evenings. It requires minimal care—airing out between uses.
