Questions and answers

Will calling or texting get me in trouble with police?

No. Our staff are not law enforcement and we don’t share your info unless you’re in immediate danger and ask for help. You can stay anonymous and choose who responds.

Do I need ID or proof to get help?

No. We prioritize your safety and dignity over paperwork. If a specific program requires ID, we’ll help you get it first—no upfront demand.

What if I’m turned away somewhere?

We track which places turn people away and work with them to fix barriers. If a service says no, we’ll find another option and explain why—just once.

Can I use this from a shared phone or library computer?

Yes. Our site works on old phones and slow networks. You can save info offline, use voice navigation, and skip typing entirely.

Are services free?

All our direct help is free. Some partner programs have sliding fees—but we’ll tell you that ahead and help if you can’t pay.
