Real Mumbai addresses only
Listings must include specific Mumbai locations like street names, landmarks, or wards — no vague areas or outside zones.
When a tutoring service lists itself as ‘Near Dadar’ instead of a precise landmark like ‘Opposite St. Xavier’s College, Dadar’, it leaves room for ambiguity. We ask for precise references — like ‘70 ft Road, Near Bhandarkar Bridge, Kurla West (Ward K)’ — because Mumbai locals know landmarks better than postal codes. This helps neighbours verify authenticity and find services faster on foot or local transport.
Early 2000s classifieds in Mumbai were flooded with listings like ‘South Mumbai’ or ‘Near Airport’ — only to vanish or mislead buyers. By demanding actual street-level data, we replicate the way Mumbaikars communicate: ‘Next to Siddhivinayak Temple, opposite Sion Hospital’ or ‘Behind Mahalaxmi Railway Station, near Gokuldas Tejpal College’. This precision supports our offline-first model where people walk, cycle, or take local trains to reach services.
Even NRIs posting on behalf of family in Mumbai are asked to include exact addresses — for example, near major landmarks — not just city names. This prevents generic spam and ensures the listing truly serves a Mumbai-bound user. It aligns with how the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation organises services — ward by ward, lane by lane, across our 243 sq km city.
