Therapy Coordination
When beneficial, we coordinate care with licensed therapists through secure sharing or referrals.
Psychiatric treatment is most effective when combined with psychosocial support when indicated. Therapy needs are identified during evaluation based on clinical justification. Referrals are made to providers whose approach aligns with clinical best practices and our values. This prevents the fragmentation that leads to dropped care or misaligned goals.
We facilitate coordination through secure information sharing, with patient consent, to ensure therapists and prescribers speak the same language about symptoms, progress, and adjustments. In some cases, clinicians provide brief supportive therapy during follow-ups; in others, a referral to a specialist may be appropriate.
This model respects the limits of each discipline: medication stabilizes biological drivers, while therapy addresses patterns of thought, behavior, and relational impact. We track outcomes collaboratively and revisit the role of therapy at regular intervals—ensuring that if one modality is no longer helpful, we adjust without delay or pressure.
