Estimate
A written proposal includes root-cause analysis, parts options, and expected timelines.
Once diagnosis is complete, we prepare a clear, itemized proposal—no vague estimates, no hidden assumptions. It starts with a concise root-cause summary, explaining how the failure occurred and why it matters for long-term reliability. For example, instead of just listing ‘water pump replacement,’ we note how a failed pump bearing can damage the timing belt or crank seal, leading to cascade failures if ignored.
Parts choices are presented side by side: OEM (original equipment), certified rebuilt (with full warranty), and performance-grade options where appropriate and safe. We note sourcing lead times and highlight any known supply constraints. Labor is broken into standard time (based on manufacturer or Chilton benchmarks) plus our actual preparation and verification steps—no inflation or filler.
Timeline estimates are based on real-world shop flow, not optimistic scheduling. We specify if parts need to be ordered, if specialty tools or training are required, and whether external vendor input (e.g., transmissionrebate specialists) is involved. You receive the proposal digitally with a 72-hour expiration to allow for informed decisions—no pressure, just clarity.
